About Major

MAJOR is an 80 pound, muscular, heavy coated dog. He has earned his Master Hunt title and his sire was the 2017 all age high point chocolate male in the nation. Major’s sire is the only chocolate male to qualify and compete in the 2017 & 2018 National Retriever Championships and is the all time high point chocolate male Derby dog in history. Major is descended from over 30 Field Champions and 6 National Field Champions in 5 generations of pedigree. and has qualified for a Master National run every year. Major lives and hunts with his foster family every season, is a powerhouse in all aspects of the work but settles nicely once his job is done. Major’s pups make excellent all around hunting companions and active family pets.
