Puppy Application Terms Once you’ve completed our puppy application and are placed on our waitlist, when a puppy of your preferred sex and color is available for you, we’ll contact you within one week following the birth of the litter. We’ll confirm the date of birth, number and sexes born, colors, and the litters go home date. Puppies are released between eight and nine weeks of age – no sooner per California State Law. Approximately a week before your puppy’s pickup day, you’ll be contacted to schedule and confirm the time you’ll be arriving at Hightest to pick out and pick up your puppy. The balance is due at the time of pick up. We try to arrange to have everyone select their puppy in the order puppy applications are received, but we can’t guarantee it. If you’re unable to come at the appropriate time on pick up day, we’ll select the puppy for you according to your specifications. Puppies not picked up on the pickup date will incur a boarding charge of $50.00 per day. We feel the time between eight and sixteen weeks is a critical bonding time for the puppy with your family and advise you to pick up your puppy on time. Your puppy application incudes a reservation of sex, color, and breeding pair preferences. You are entitled to withdraw from a litter and remain on the waitlist for a preference of your choice at any time; however we appreciate advance notice if you’ve already confirmed for a specific litter. You are also entitled to change your preferences at any time while on the waitlist.
